Built for Nursery & Landscape. Built for More.
See the Schäffer compact wheel loader lineup engineered for daily nursery, sod, and landscape work — at TNLA’s Nursery/Landscape EXPO in San Antonio (Aug 11–13) or FNGLA’s The Landscape Show in Orlando (Aug 19–21).
Built for the Work You Actually Do
Pallets of sod before sunrise. Root balls in tight nursery rows. Materials to move across finished landscapes. Gates that were never built with equipment in mind. That’s the kind of work Schäffer compact wheel loaders were designed for.
Schäffer loaders combine compact dimensions, maneuverability and serious lifting capability for equipment that works day after day, season after season.
Stop by, see the machines up close, and find the Schäffer that fits the way your operation works.
Nearly 70 Years of German Engineering
Schäffer has been building loaders in Germany since 1956. That experience shows up throughout the machine — with Schäffer-designed and manufactured axles and drivetrain technology, precision hydraulics, and proven engines selected to match the size and demands of each loader. Compact and mid-size models use Kubota diesel engines, while larger machines in the lineup step up to Deutz power.
It’s a manufacturing standard refined over nearly seven decades.
Built to Work. Backed to Keep Working.
For landscape and nursery operations, downtime costs money. Schäffer loaders are built for demanding daily use — and DFD Loaders backs them with U.S.-based parts and service support.
Built Around Your Job Site, Not the Other Way Around
Residential gates, tight nursery rows and finished landscapes often determine what equipment can get to the work in the first place.
Schäffer’s compact dimensions and articulated design let operators work in confined spaces while minimizing ground disturbance on turf and finished surfaces.
And with a universal skid-steer quick-attach headstock available on many models, you can run a wide range of buckets, forks, grapples and other attachments — including many you may already own — without an adapter plate taking away from your lift capacity.
Compact Models Built for Landscape & Nursery Work.
With more than 20 models across the Schäffer lineup, there’s a machine for virtually every size operation. Some of the compact models especially well suited to landscape and nursery work include:
1422 — Schäffer’s most compact loader, pairing a fuel-efficient 22 hp Kubota engine with a 1,763 lb. tipping load and 7’3.7″ max bucket pivot height — sized for tight nursery rows and light landscape work where a full-size loader doesn’t fit.
2428 SLT — DFD’s best-selling model. Lifts over 3,000 lbs. and fits through a 36″ gate — serious capacity in a body low and narrow enough for residential and nursery access most loaders can’t touch.
2430 SLT —With a 4,012 lb. tipping load, the 2430 SLT can handle demanding material-moving applications — including full pallets of sod — without giving up the compact footprint and maneuverability that make it so useful for landscape and nursery work.
2630 T SLT — Schäffer’s most compact telescopic wheel loader, with a 12’2.5″ max bucket pivot height and 5 ft. of forward reach — built for jobs that need both lift capacity and reach in an ultra-compact package.
